2022 4th of July Parade

RULES AND GUIDELINES

4th of July Celebration for Monday, July 4th, 2022

* Line up for parade 8:30 am to 9:30 am on South Spring St
* Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. and follow Main Street ending at Veteran's Memorial Park

1. Check in on South Spring Street across across from Parr Lumber

2. *** ALL ENTRIES MUST CHECK-IN ***

3. All entries must have their number visible on the left front of parade entry

4. Look for your assigned line up spot (orange cone or sign) on East Side of South Spring Street and begin to line up.

5. **Parade lineup officials will guide you to your assigned spot**

6. Please be courteous to entries in front and in back of you. Please keep close together.

7. Parade to start at approximately 10:00 a.m. down Main Street traveling 5 – 7 M.P.H., approximately 2 car lengths apart. At the finish, turn left at the end of Main Street onto Klamath Avenue and return to Spring Street or disband in a nearby parking lot – NOT in the middle of the street. Proceed down Klamath Avenue to a safe location for unloading of vehicles or float entries. Please only take 2 - 4 minutes. Floats will not be allowed entrance into Veteran’s Park. (This does not include the Color Guard, American Legion locomotive, Parade Grand Marshal and others granted by permission of the City Parks Division. Please ask in advance if you are unsure.)

8. After unloading you may proceed to the downtown area for any available parking.

9. Please watch for parade officials during the parade route. They will be monitoring the flow of the parade route.

10. ** NO throwing candy or other favors during the parade route. This rule will be followed or you will be asked to exit the parade route. This is for everyone’s safety.**

11. All horse entries MUST have clean-up crews following the entry to keep all areas clean of animal waste at parade line-up spot, unloading and loading areas, and also following behind horses during parade route and at Veteran’s Park.
